AWho we are

Vectis Works helps manufacturers see how their plants are running, by bringing data from machines and controls onto live dashboards and building the software around them. Our postal address is 100 Powell Place #1170, Nashville, TN 37204.

This policy explains how we treat personal information connected with this website and with the business emails our company sends.

BHow we get in contact

We contact people at companies whose jobs connect to the work we do, such as operations, plant, engineering and IT roles. We write to a work email address, and now and then we may call a business phone line or send a letter to a business address.

We only reach out when we believe our work could be relevant to that person's job, and we stop whenever someone asks us to.

CWhat we collect

Everything we handle concerns people in their working lives. Depending on what is available, it can include:

  • Business contact details: name, job title, employer, work email address, business phone number and a link to a professional profile.
  • Facts about the employer, such as its name, website, industry, size and location.
  • Public business activity, including job postings, news coverage and posts made in public.
  • The outcome of checks that tell us whether an email address can receive mail.
  • Messages exchanged with us, and notes our team makes about those conversations.
  • Visits to this website. The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Our hosting provider keeps ordinary technical logs, and the service that supplies the site's typeface receives your IP address when your browser loads a page.

We do not collect sensitive personal information about anyone.

DWhere it comes from

Much of it comes from public places: company websites, job boards, news sources and professional networking profiles. Some comes from commercial firms that supply business contact and company data. The remainder comes from you directly, when you answer an email, complete a form or speak with us.

EWhat we use it for

  • Judging whether our work is likely to matter to a person and their company.
  • Contacting people at work about that work.
  • Confirming that an email address is valid before we write to it.
  • Answering replies and, when someone asks, discussing or delivering our services.
  • Keeping our do-not-contact list up to date.
  • Protecting our systems and meeting our legal obligations.

FAsking us to stop

Reply to any email from us, using whatever words you like; no special phrase is needed. If one of our team phones you, tell them on the call. We honor the request promptly, and in every case within 10 business days.

Your name and email address then go on our do-not-contact list. That list is how we make sure we never contact you again, even if your details reach us later from some other source.

GWho else sees it

Vectis Works does not sell or rent personal information. We do not pass it to other companies for their own marketing, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

It goes only to service providers working on our behalf, namely email and mailbox services, address verification services, business data providers, and hosting and storage providers, who may use it solely to do that work for us. We also disclose it to authorities when the law requires, or when needed to protect rights and safety. If our business is sold or merged, the buyer or successor receives it and is bound by this policy.

HHow long we keep it

Contact and company records stay with us while they serve the purposes described here, and we remove the ones that have gone out of date. Client records are kept as long as the work and our legal and accounting duties call for. Do-not-contact entries are kept for as long as we contact businesses at all, because deleting one would undo its purpose.

IKeeping it safe

Only people who need personal information can reach it, and we apply reasonable safeguards to protect it. No way of storing or transmitting information is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

JYour rights

You may ask what information we hold about you and where it came from, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. After a deletion we keep only your do-not-contact entry, so that your wish not to hear from us is still respected.

The law of your state may give you further rights: to know, correct or delete personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information in that sense. Using any of these rights will not change how we treat you.

To make a request, reply to one of our emails, use the contact form at www.vectisworks.com/#cta, or write to our postal address. To protect you, we may ask you to confirm the email address at which we contacted you. We answer within the time the law allows, and an authorized agent may make a request on your behalf.

KChildren

This website and our services are meant for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information about anyone under the age of 18.

LWhere we operate

Vectis Works is based in the United States and contacts businesses in the United States. Our service providers may process information in whichever places they operate.
